Who are we looking for?

We are always in the lookout for talented people of multiple scientific backgrounds (and all personal backgrounds) to complete our team. As an interdisciplinary group, we look for students and graduates with expertise in physics, chemistry or materials science that are with interests in quantum optics, ultrafast spectroscopy and light microscopy.

While our main efforts are experimental lab work, we always have some interesting theoretical problems we are trying to solve and therefore have room for the more theoretically inclined.

A moment of (group) philosophy

For us, it is critically important that people fit together. We make it a point to work closely together; sharing the difficulties and day-to-day problems as well as the moments of success and inspiration. We make sure to balance the path that our scientific endeavor requires with what fits a person's own path.

BSc student projects

Looking for a BSc project. Our lab is a great place to learn advanced techniques in quantum optics, ultrafast optics, microscopy and spectroscopy. We help student navigate the new terrain of an experimental lab while maintaining space for creativity.

Our lab can be a great fit for students from the Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering faculties as long as you are interested in expending your horizons towards quantum and ultrafast optics.

To apply, send us an email. Tell us about yourself and attach your grades sheet.

MSc and PhD student projects

MSc and PhD students drive the innovation and passion in our lab.

We are looking for excellent students that are interested in the research areas of quantum optics, ultrafast physics, spectroscopy of nanomaterials and light microscopy.

In our group, student work together but they are required to make their own scientific and technical path. Even if this can be scarry sometimes and require some hard work, it really pays off at the end when you realize the progress you have made and the independent thinker you have become.

To apply, send us an email. Tell us about yourself and what you are looking for. Please attach your CV and grade sheet.

Postdocs

We welcome experts from all personal backgrounds with expertise in experimental quantum optics, ultrafast optics and light microscopy. Postdoc candidates should be interested in stretching their knowledge and scientific interests.

In addition, experts in colloidal synthesis and device fabrication are also welcome to apply. Researcher with this background that are willing to complement their skills by learning optical spectroscopy play a valuable role in our research.

The Technion campus provides an international atmosphere with in-campus housing opportunities and vibrant academic and social atmosphere. Science, classes and admin are held in English. Acquiring some knowledge in Hebrew might come in handy when outside the campus.

The multicultural city of Haifa lies on the shores of the Mediterranean sea surrounded by the Carmel forest. It is a welcoming community with high standards of living at reasonable prices.

To apply, send us an email. Tell us about yourself and what you are looking from your postdoc experience. Think about how you can contribute to the group and how the group can contribute to your progress. Please attach a CV.
